From the peoples and citizens China oppresses to the nations it exploits and the Westerners it has co-opted, The China Nexus paints a comprehensive picture of China's global treachery.
We live in a world where a significant number of people boycott Chic-fil-A because the owners are .... CHRISTIAN... and are closed on Sunday (devoted, the worst kind..). But those very same people are quite content buying cheap stuff from the slavers in China. The very same people who were complicit in the cultural revolution. Go figure.
Seems to me the US has put itself in a weak position so dependant on China for so many vital products. Also seems much of China's strength comes from it's trade with the US.
yes ...except the nexus of China developed the largest fastest advance in history so far and elevated the life and journey of everyone in China. the novel approach of developing competent state agencies that equip and enhance performance of finance capital and production capital is a nascent model for countries to engage their economic challenge, whether material processing prior to export, industrialization or automation.
the wide and deep transition to automated society and particularly the ethic challenge should not be underestimated. in addition to software system development itself that is full of challenges and novel hazard, new better state capacity is needed to balance modernization of different domains which will increase labor demand, and the supply of modern labor able to automate and operate automated society rests primarily on families, their ethic reservoir and ability to raise children to challenge and hence stable psychic and emotion structure that can focus and learn.
as dexterous and thinking tasks are automated the residual work will be items too subtle or too severe to allow machine performance. this implies a general rise in the conceptual and ethical capacity of labor. the alternative is to pacify a permanent underclass incapable of focus and modern tasks, the path that woke governance/victimology/coddling has been intuitively preparing with phony praise and subsidies of conjured identity.
the liberal paradigm of neutrality toward ethics may be incapable of engaging automation, and may ever generate woke 1, 2, 3 as attempts to pacify rather than elevate the mass. the senior mass ethic systems more than 2 millennium old, Abrahamic, Indic, materialism, and ancestor veneration share attribute of inclination or bias in favor of the human journey, and their activation may be absolutely needed to raise students and bolster practitioners to make ethic decisions on the spot in work teams and broader in dialogue among families and citizens.
Ayaan is always venerated as a social critic of retrogressive acts, situations, forces and beliefs, her merit is fearless speaking in the face of peer group popular pressure. Once in a debate she told Tariq Ramadan 'If i thought Islam is what you say it is, i would believe it too'. which actually summarizes the difference of these 2 scholars - hoped for and actual
Keep up criticism, but the result wont be resuscitating the western liberal manichaean campaign against enemies du jour. this perspective can dovetail with the turn to aggressive mercantilism of DJT, Jake Sullivan, Antony Bliken, et al. But mercantilism is tangential to the problems of industrial obsolescence / imbalanced automation, and what China advocates - a juridical-commercial order based on disinterested access to exchange of finance, capital, services and science centered on commercial return - will be more and more favored by the majority - BRICS, SCO, ASEAN etc. the hard way or a much harder way will eventually tame mercantilism to become another player in the juridical commercial order that lives by its performance, by offering services desired by others, rather than military skewing of commercial choice, and mostly contributes security rather than coercion.
im more concerned about the woke here than the chinese . and how is any of this stuff news? China =bad. we get it.always has been. but it was tamed somewhat by its discovery that manufacturing cheap shit is good. lol if they ask how my kidneys are doing i will be alarmed!

Of course, it’s depressing. More so because the people who really need to understand the threat of China blissfully ignorant.
