Remigration Is the Peaceful Option

Our civilizational crisis has reached a tipping point

I’m delighted by how Restoring the West has grown since we first launched it, but it’s a silver cloud with a dark lining. It often seems that not a week passes without another horrific event that vindicates our work here—I’ve found it difficult to get the image of the attempted beheading in Belfast out of my head. I hope you will join me in praying for the victim’s swift recovery.

What I’m Thinking About

For years, Western progressives and even centrists have condemned the idea of remigration as “inhumane,” and it’s always struck me as a privileged delusion. You have to have lived a spectacularly safe and comfortable life to think that bribing recent immigrants to return to their home countries is inhumane. The scenes out of Belfast in the last weeks should be a wake-up call to anyone still laboring under this delusion. Remigration is, if anything, the most humane response available to Western governments in the face of the crisis of mass immigration that they have created. The people of the United Kingdom and of Ireland have had enough. Remigration is the peaceful option, and it should be pursued as swiftly as possible.
