For more than a thousand years, Christianity has been central to Poland’s national identity. Mieszko I’s baptism in 966 set Poland on a moral trajectory that sustained its people through centuries of foreign rule, partition, Soviet occupation, and ideological pressure.

Today, 33 million of Poland’s 37 million people identify as Christian, the vast majority of them Catholic . While Western European nations have systematically dismantled their cultural heritage, assuming that freedom can coexist with doctrines designed to crush it, Poland has chosen a different path.

But holding the line is becoming increasingly difficult. Even in deeply Christian Poland, radical Islam is beginning to take root, proving that no country is safe from an ideology driven by expansion.

To dismiss a small Muslim minority as inconsequential is to fundamentally misunderstand how radicalization takes hold. Ideologies do not require a majority to transform a nation, only a handful of fanatics and a population paralyzed by indifference or guilt. Belgium offers a tragic example.

In 1964, Belgium signed bilateral labor agreements with Morocco and Turkey. What was presented as a temporary measure, to fill labor shortages in heavy industry and coal mining quickly evolved into a permanent civilizational shift.
