In our times right now, isn’t “moral confusion” and disruption of faith teachings exactly what certain groups need in order to weaken the populace and set the stage for radicals to capture those minds?
Historians can't agree on what Jesus believed. "Christ" is not a historic factual identity, but a religious doctrine. Jesus was real, and a Jew. He never spoke of gays. Never promoted or condemned them. There had been rumours back to Mark's Gospel and Pope Clement about possible gays amongst his entourage. Jesus only condemned the unrepentant, as John the Baptizer did, in ethical terms , the hypocrites, and those who manipulated and over-interpreted scriptures he believed divinely given.
But this is very far from saying Jesus would have encouraged homosexuality. He knew this was anathema to Jewish law. In fact, any gay Judean or Galileean back then would had done their utmost to hide their predilections and activities. This continued through history, creating actual martyrs of persecuted gay people. And yet again, understanding, support and acceptance, a compassion which Jesus ,I believe ,entertained in his heart, as he would - if the pericope is historic- have exonerated the accused woman adulterer, are still far from blind normalisation, which leads to encouragement. Scandals in the Catholic Church also justify fears for young boys. No matter how just the cause of respect and acceptance of gay people, the Church, Protestant or Catholic, has no business promoting " pride". Left handed people are a minority. So are other groups with definite personal proclivities. They don't go about " pride" events. But even if society has accepted and often gladly participates in gay pride events, no Church or synagogue should advocate or promote.
Jesus had the harshest words to the religious leaders of His day. I went to parochial schools for 9 years. The church is a shell of itself today. I call out the leaders--- The Pope, all those Cardinals. Why do we need them? The Pope should not let the Bishops allow that Mass. People take a knee before the alter then accept and promote sin. Jesus said what waits for those who mislead or abuse little children. How do you explain the Fr. Martin and pro abortion and pro gay marriage groups on campus. The Pope should have the final say over the Bishops in the area that these events cannot happen. The Pope and The Cardinals and Bishops should lead renewel by public repentance of their own sins and for Sacrilege. They are sinners just like us but many are arrogant, think they are better and never smile. Where is "The joy of The Lord is my strenght?" The Apostle Paul wrote to his brother in Christ Timothy that, he Paul, was "chief of sinners"-- worst of sinners. The last 2 Popes never talked about God or Jesus but said pius, soiritual sounding words. The Gospel never mentioned or why it's called Good News--- because The Cross on our churches means we could not pay for our sins but Jesus did! We don't need more converts to Catholicism--we need more converts to Jesus Christ--- The Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world!

Beautifully said. “Christ certainly met people where they were…But he never left them where they were.”
Very, very well put. Of utmost importance. Definitely a current weakness in the Church, not just the Catholic church.
This is Satan's plan to ruin the church. Confusion!
Daisy Mae: THANK YOU for eloquently and accurately speaking the Truth.

The majority of the Catholic hierarchy in the United States is a disgrace.
