Tucker Carlson claims to love America, yet his latest initiative risks undermining the very country he says he wants to save. His desire to create a third political party, laid out in a ten-point platform, reveals a catastrophic miscalculation.

More troubling is what lies beneath the populist rhetoric. Carlson, who professes to abhor antisemitism even as he promotes it, accuses Israel of repeatedly drawing the United States into war—including the current war with Iran—through bribery and coercion. It is an old and ugly form of scapegoating, one that disguises conspiratorial malice as foreign-policy realism.

As the adage goes, you judge a person by the company they keep. In his push to establish this breakaway movement, Carlson has aligned himself with Representative Thomas Massie, former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Joe Kent, an ex-CIA operative who resigned from his national security post in opposition to U.S. foreign policy. United by hostility toward Israel and themes rooted in anti-Jewish tropes, they seek to mainstream hatred in the name of political reform.

That said, intellectual honesty requires acknowledging that parts of Carlson’s platform makes some legitimate points. He focuses on the imperative for American families to have more children, recognizing demographic renewal as a vital foundation for national endurance. Yet his platform remains vague and unconvincing about how exactly state power or economic policy could reverse America’s demographic decline. . He stresses the need for children to learn practical life skills in school rather than chasing worthless credentials. These are sensible goals. They do not require a new party.
